Slumberkins
Trailer
Synopsis
Bigfoot, Unicorn, Sloth, Yak and Fox are a group of friends who work through different feelings, one song at a time — self-esteem, authenticity, routines, change. Based on the Slumberkins social-emotional learning brand, the series blends puppet performance with 2D-animated backgrounds and elements to walk children through small everyday conflicts.
Context & Trivia
The five central characters are puppets built for the series, embedded in a mixed-media format where they share the screen with 2D-animated backdrops and effects — a combination trade press described at launch as the show's 'charming puppets.' Developed for television by Alex Rockwell (Word Party, Pajanimals), the series adapts the Slumberkins book and plush toy line created by Kelly Oriard and Callie Christensen.
