Synopsis
For this 2008 single from Beck's album Modern Guilt, director Kris Moyes built a stop-motion-meets-puppetry world where hand-crafted dolls, toys and statuettes modeled after Beck are assembled on screen by gloved hands before coming to life to sing and dance along with the song. The video blends puppetry with animation to give inanimate figurines their own uncanny performance, turning Beck's likeness into a small cast of handmade characters.
