Context & Trivia
This 2010 Diet Coke advertisement is part of the 'Love It Light' campaign, launched across several European countries. It features three female puppet characters named Eleanor, Bernadette, and Irene, who work in the fashion industry. These puppets were a prominent part of Diet Coke's advertising from 2010-2013, before the brand reverted to its 'hunk' advertisements. In 2012, designer Jean Paul Gaultier was named creative director for Diet Coke in Europe and starred in a series of short films where he interacted with one of the Diet Coke girl puppets, assisting her with her dance routine and wardrobe.
