Synopsis
A caricature of US president Ronald Reagan falls asleep beside Nancy Reagan and a chimpanzee, and his nightmare becomes a parade of Cold War leaders, celebrities and puppet versions of Genesis. As soldiers march through a swamp and Phil Collins sings, Reagan imagines himself as Superman amid political chaos and prehistoric absurdity. On waking, he tries to summon a nurse but accidentally presses the nuclear button instead.
Context & Trivia
The music video for 'Land of Confusion' features puppets from the 1980s UK sketch show Spitting Image, including caricatures of celebrities and politicians such as Ronald Reagan.
