Synopsis

The living puppets, Blade, Pinhead, Jester, Tunneler, and Leech Woman, resurrect their creator, Andre Toulon, by pouring a formula on his grave. Toulon, now mummified, seeks to recreate the eternal life formula, which requires human brain tissue. A group of parapsychologists arrives at the hotel to investigate strange occurrences, becoming the new targets of Toulon and his puppets, joined by the new puppet Torch.

Context & Trivia

This sequel introduces a new puppet named Torch, essentially a miniature flamethrower, who becomes a notable addition to Toulon's murderous puppet cast. The film also stands out for the increased screen time of the puppets and their more elaborate movements compared to the previous installment. David Allen, the director, was a renowned stop-motion animator, but his direction on this film was described as problematic, leading to a delayed shoot with incomplete scenes, partly because he owned the puppets.
