Synopsis

On the planet Algoria, a community of curious puppet creatures navigates everyday situations shaped by questions of friendship and environmental care. When Algoria drifts too close to Earth, the risk of human discovery becomes the thread that connects Aldus, Dr. Liberius, Fania, and Nilo across their shared adventures. The series builds its values quietly, through the texture of each episode rather than through lesson.

Context & Trivia

A co-production between Cuatro and Gestmusic Endemol, the series ran from 2007 to 2009 and accumulated 426 episodes, created by Daniel Cerdà and Jaume Copons. The most documented contribution from a puppet-craft perspective is that of designer Óscar Julve, who was responsible for both the puppet characters and the scenic spaces: Julve built sets conceived specifically for the television camera, blending real-world materials with purpose-built environments to give the Algos a coherent visual world of their own. The format also included music videos and animated mini-tales, with music by Daniel Cerdà, Jaume Copons, Carlos Jean, Toni Ten, Raúl Costafreda, and Pep Lladó. The puppeteers who performed and voiced the characters, and the exact manipulation technique used, remain undocumented.
