Synopsis
A colorful puppet historian accredited by Puppet U — known only as The Professor — runs a ruthless trivia competition where two contestants earn jelly beans battling for the title of History Wizard. Each episode zeroes in on a single historical figure or event, introducing a purpose-built thematic puppet and an original musical number. Genuinely dark humor and adult language are wrapped, without apology, inside the visual language of a children's show.

Puppet History is a comedy game show web series created by Shane Madej and produced by Watcher Entertainment. The show premiered on January 10, 2020, on the Watcher Entertainment YouTube channel, being the first show released by the company. Shane Madej not only created the series but also performs and voices most of the puppets, including The Professor, the blue puppet host, and the thematic musical guests in each episode. Over time, the series has developed a deeper narrative with lore elements woven into the seasons, such as the Professor's backstory and a genie who pursues him through time. The puppets used range from The Professor, a hand puppet, to unique thematic puppets created for each episode, often anthropomorphic representations of historical concepts or elements. Madej also uses paper cutouts on popsicle sticks for historical reenactments. The series has been praised for its dark humor, adult language, and dark themes, all wrapped in the visual language of a children's show. In April 2026, it was announced that all future Puppet History content would migrate to a new YouTube channel called "Puppet History Inc." due to YouTube's algorithm favoring hyper-focused channels.
