In Sukawati, Bali, a dalang (shadow-puppet master) prepares his carved leather puppets for a night's performance, embodying kings, warriors and spirits from the Ramayana and Mahabharata — a short documentary on responsibility, inheritance and the fragile continuity of the wayang kulit tradition.
