Context & Trivia
Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself is Jeff Dunham's first comedy special for Comedy Central. In this show, Dunham features his well-known puppets Walter, Peanut, José Jalapeño on a Stick, and Bubba J, and introduces Sweet Daddy Dee. Walter is a grumpy Vietnam War veteran who often complains about his wife. Peanut is a hyperactive purple "woozle" from Micronesia, described by Walter as "a frickin' Muppet on crack," and frequently mocks José Jalapeño. José Jalapeño is a jalapeño pepper on a stick who speaks with a Hispanic accent. Bubba J is a beer-drinking, NASCAR-loving redneck. Sweet Daddy Dee is Dunham's self-proclaimed "pimp" manager. Dunham is the creator and puppeteer for all his characters, and he sculpted the Walter puppet himself. The special was released on DVD on April 11, 2006, and was the first to offer both censored and uncensored versions.
