Water Puppets
Múa rối nước is a Vietnamese tradition historically associated with communities of the Red River Delta. Lacquered wooden figures move across the water through long rods and mechanisms hidden beneath the surface. Standing waist-deep behind a screen, the puppeteers make the water part of both movement and stage.
