Synopsis

A group of extraterrestrial puppets called the Lunnis gather with presenter Lucrecia in a forest clearing each episode, where she recounts ancient legends and the deeds of famous historical figures. The storytelling unfolds through animation with voice-over narration, and each installment closes with a song by Lucrecia tied to that episode's legend or figure.

Context & Trivia

A spin-off of the long-running TVE series «Los Lunnis» (2003), broadcast on Clan TV from 2016 to 2021, the show carries forward the puppet cast originally built by the company Muñecos Animados. In 2003, that company not only designed and fabricated the characters — Lupita (red), Lublú (blue), Lucho (yellow) and Lulila (lilac), among others — but also handled the casting and training of the puppeteers, and consulted on set design, props and costumes. The characters were directed through their earliest stage life by puppet director Manuel Román.

In «Lunnis de Leyenda», the puppet voices are performed by Rosa Pou (Lupita), Lores Marcó (Lulila), Joan Bentallé (Lublú) and Ingrid Domingo (Lucho). Bentallé's dual role — puppet voice and off-screen narrator — gives the show a distinctive sonic unity. The animated sequences illustrating each legend across the six seasons were produced by Paramotion Films, who also created stop-motion tutorial segments enabling children to build their own replicas of the animated characters, extending the series' handcrafted, manipulable world beyond the screen.
